The Best NYE Cocktail (plus mocktail version!)

New Years is my favorite holiday. I know this because we've hosted it at our house the past 15 years. This makes me feel happy and old at the same time. Time for a drink! Make this for guests and ensure they have a great time. It's bubbly, fresh, bright, and the perfect way to ring in the new year. // French 75 Recipe (my riff)
1oz (30ml) Gin or Cognac
1/2oz (15ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2oz (15ml) Simple Syrup (1:1 Ratio)
Top up with Champagne

Shake, strain, top with champagne into flute glass
Add sprig of rosemary to make it more festive, throw in cranberries, pomegranets, whatever

1oz lemon
1oz simple syrup
1oz cranberry juice (unsweetend, or use sweetened and remove simple syrup)
soda water
rosemary and fresh cranberries to garnish
