A Manhattan Riff Better Than the Original

I was honestly blown away by how good this cocktail was. I recall having something like this back when I was working in Silicon Valley in the 2010 time frame but it didn't make an impression on me. Now, this might be my new favorite go-to for getting the night started. If this isn't great when you try it make sure to use a higher sugar content coffee liqour like Kahlua or Tia Maria as it's needed to balance out the Bourbon. Also yes, I believe they used Bulleit Bourbon as a pun on the name. You've got to love a dad joke built right into the cocktail name!

// History of the Revolver
The Revolver is a modern classic born in San Francisco in the early 2000s. It was created by bartender Jon Santer while working at the bar Absinthe Brasserie & Bar. At the time, Santer was experimenting with ways to give whiskey cocktails a richer, darker edge without overcomplicating them.

It caught on quickly in San Francisco’s craft cocktail scene and was later picked up by bars nationwide, eventually earning a place in the “modern classics” category thanks to its simplicity and bold flavor profile.
